Are you ready to take full ownership of a high-profile contract and drive operational excellence? XPO is looking for aContract Operations Managerto lead a high-profile distribution contract, delivering outstanding results acrossSafety, Service, Budget Performance, andContinuous Improvement.
This is afield-based positionoperating across five key UK sites, both customer and XPO sites, requiring regular travel and hands‑on leadership across the network. While the role spans five UK sites, the ideal candidate will primarily operate between South Yorkshire and Stoke-on-Trent and should therefore be based within reasonable proximity so as to be able to lead effectively.
This is a strategic leadership role with end‑to‑end accountability, offering the opportunity to shape the future of the contract while developing your own career. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, customers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure delivery excellence and identify growth opportunities.

Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum with company car/ car allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. - Lead the operational delivery of the contract, ensuring safety, service, and financial targets are consistently met.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and streamline operations.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams to align with strategic goals and uncover new opportunities.
- Champion a high‑performance culture through effective leadership, communication, and people development.
- Ensure robust KPI and SLA management, with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
