Are you an HGV driver fed up with not knowing when you`re working next, or when your work will die down?Maybe you`ve recently passed your test and you`re now faced with the challenge of finding a company that`s willing to give you the opportunity to kick off your career? Whatever your career dreams and goals, look no further – XPO Logistics are recruiting! We`re looking for a permanent Class 1 HGV driver to join us, based from our site in Wakefield.
You`ll be representing XPO on our night network, working a guaranteed 40 hours per week on the Monday to Friday night shift. In return for your hard work, we`ll offer you £15.96 per hour including allowances. There is also the potential for overtime and additional shifts as required. You`ll also have access to a variety of high street discounts, includingcycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, holiday pay and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Fixed start times at 23.59 each night
- You will be working with curtainsider trailers and will receive full training on safe strapping and loading
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- LGV / HGV C+E / Class 1 entitlement on your licence
- You will be flexible in your working hours
- You will have no more than 6 points on your licence with no DR or DD endorsements
- A CPC and Digital Tacho Card
- You will also have a great knowledge of the road network in the Northwest
