We are currently recruiting for a Day Shift Manager to support our distribution contract at our site in Worksop. Working 4on 4off.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holidays. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Managing a team of drivers across various shifts.
- Manage and oversee the transport operation.
- Daily interaction with the management team for our customer.
- Support the planning of the weekly workload and organising staff shifts to ensure all runs are covered in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Overseeing the execution of the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site, keeping the customer updated.
- Ensure all process and procedures are followed as we operate in a safe and efficient environment.
- Timely and accurate investigations into Safety incidents.
- Provide leadership and guidance for the team and provide accurate KPIs internally and to the customer.
What You Need To Succeed At XPO
Essential: It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet.
Essential: You must have experience working in a Transport Shift Management position – managing drivers and office staff.
Essential: Support and encourage a good team working spirit and ensure that all stakeholders work effectively and communicate frequently to achieve the business objectives.
Desirable: Have a working knowledge of Transport Legislation / WTD / Drivers hours.
Desirable: CPC in International road Haulage.
