How does constant training and development sound? At XPO we’re looking for a talented Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Widnes site. Working Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required to cover holidays.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out accurately and professionally
- Use appropriate communication methods to provide information to internal and external customers, e.g. debrief drivers, manage customer issues
- Conduct traffic planning activities in line with legislative requirements
- Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements and highlight concerns to line management
- Conduct QHSE activities such as Care Cards, BSafe, Safety Conversations, etc.
- Maintain and update the trunk operation sheet
- Manage defect logs and follow the defect process
- Identify and highlight potential improvement opportunities to management
- Demonstrate the Company Values in all tasks
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required
- Display the highest standards of customer service
- Participate in relevant training events in line with personal development needs and business requirements
What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution office environment (preferred but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Confidence using transport systems and Microsoft Office (training provided where needed)
- Good communication skills with drivers, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn wider transport and supervisory duties
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines
