How does constant training and development sound? At XPO we’re looking for a talented Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Widnes site. Working Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required to cover holidays.

Pay, Benefits And More

We offer a salary of up to £28,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high‑street discounts, a cycle‑to‑work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

  • Ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out accurately and professionally
  • Use appropriate communication methods to provide information to internal and external customers, e.g. debrief drivers, manage customer issues
  • Conduct traffic planning activities in line with legislative requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements and highlight concerns to line management
  • Conduct QHSE activities such as Care Cards, BSafe, Safety Conversations, etc.
  • Maintain and update the trunk operation sheet
  • Manage defect logs and follow the defect process
  • Identify and highlight potential improvement opportunities to management
  • Demonstrate the Company Values in all tasks
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required
  • Display the highest standards of customer service
  • Participate in relevant training events in line with personal development needs and business requirements

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

  • Experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution office environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Confidence using transport systems and Microsoft Office (training provided where needed)
  • Good communication skills with drivers, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn wider transport and supervisory duties
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines
