If so, we are looking for a Weighbridge Operator on our British Gypsum contract in East Leake.

A weighbridge operator acts as a key component of the transport function, liaising with drivers and the wider team regularly to ensure the delivery of a first‑class service to our customer. The operator ensures the smooth running of the weighbridge facility, acting as the first and last point of contact for all staff and contractors.

Pay, Benefits And More

You will be working 40 hours per week, 4 on 4 off with the ability to cover the 24‑hour current operation hours in the event of holiday or sickness. Overtime is available pre‑arranged and unsociable hours. We offer 20 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays). What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

  • Operate the key weighbridge functions including barriers and weighing facilities.
  • Ensure all inbound visitors to site have the correct permissions, inductions, and training prior to entering the site.
  • Carry out inductions and provide site rules and instruction as required.
  • Direct visitors to the correct locations and stakeholders onsite.
  • Communicate with the yard, warehouse, traffic office and customer as required.
  • Utilise multiple IT based systems in the effective delivery of the role, including Excel, SAP, XPO IT systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ensure compliance with company health & safety requirements, challenging unsafe behaviours and raising any concerns with line management.
  • Ensure good hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Conduct relevant QHSE activities: Care Cards, BSafe, Safety Conversations, etc.
  • Identify and highlight to management any potential improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate the Company Values.
  • Undertake any other reasonable task as required.
  • Always display the highest standards of customer service.

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a logistics environment.
  • A positive can‑do attitude.
  • A strong grasp of Microsoft Office Suite.
