At XPO, we’re looking for an experienced Site Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the operational and financial performance of our site — covering both transport and warehouse operations.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Lead the full site operation (Transport & Warehouse), ensuring all KPIs, service levels and safety standards are achieved
- Successfully transition and embed the site into XPO Logistics, ensuring operational stability and customer confidence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the customer, retail stores and key stakeholders
- Provide leadership and direction to the Senior Management Team, driving engagement, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Take full accountability for the site’s operating budget, financial performance and open‑book reporting
- Ensure all QHSE legislation, standards and procedures are adhered to and continuously improved
- Drive a positive, progressive employee relations culture, including performance management, succession planning and colleague development
- Provide accurate and insightful MI reporting to both XPO and the customer
- Lead the communication and engagement strategy across the site, ensuring clear, consistent messaging to all stakeholders
- Identify and deliver process improvements that enhance service, efficiency and cost performance
- Manage complex Trade Union relationships and ensure effective consultation and communication
- Ensure the site operates compliantly, safely and in line with contractual and legal requirements
Essential What you need to succeed at XPO
- Significant senior‑level experience in logistics, covering both warehousing and transport
- Proven success managing large‑scale operations and senior customer relationships
- Strong background in full budget and P&L ownership, ideally within an open‑book environment
- Demonstrable experience leading large teams and senior managers
- Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience managing complex Trade Union relationships
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and drive operational improvement
- Proven track record of delivering results through KPIs, SLAs and operational objectives
- Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, challenging environment
