Logistics done differently. We’re looking for an experienced and engaging Training Manager to join our Arla Hatfield operation. You’ll take ownership of all MHE and safety training on site, ensuring our colleagues are competent, confident and working to the highest safety standards.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

  • Deliver accredited and in‑house MHE training including Counterbalance, Reach, PPT, LLOP and warehouse‑specific attachments
  • Deliver new starter, refresher, conversion and familiarisation training
  • Carry out operator assessments in line with awarding body and HSE standards, issuing certification and authorisations
  • Deliver Fire Marshal/Warden, First Aid and Train the Trainer programmes
  • Ensure all training complies with PUWER, HSE ACOP L117, fire safety legislation and first aid regulations
  • Maintain accurate training records, skill matrices, lesson plans and training materials
  • Support internal and external audits (HSE, insurers, accrediting bodies)
  • Monitor operator performance and recommend refresher or remedial training
  • Work closely with Warehouse Management, H&S and Shift Managers to improve safety and performance

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

  • Current MHE Instructor qualification (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, NPORS or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering MHE training in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Fire Marshal / Fire Warden Trainer qualification
  • First Aid Instructor qualification (EFAW or FAW minimum)
  • Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation
  • Confident, engaging training delivery style
  • Excellent communication, coaching and assessment skills
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail

Desirable

  • Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely
  • Train the Trainer qualification
  • Experience training large, mixed‑skill teams or working in multi‑shift/24‑7 operations
  • Ability to provide training data and performance insights
