Logistics done differently. Are you a Class 1 Driver looking for the security of guaranteed full‑time hours and a permanent contract? Do you want to work for one of the most forward‑thinking and fast‑growing logistics companies in the UK? How about working Monday to Friday with weekends off? We’re looking to recruit a full‑time, permanent Class 1 HGV Tramper Driver to join us at our site in Grays. You’ll be guaranteed a minimum of 50 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, typically 05:00 to 16:00, odd 6th shift may be available.

Pay, benefits and more. We’re looking to offer the competitive hourly rate of £21.28 per hour. You will also receive 22 days holiday per year, holiday pay, access to a variety of high stride discounts, as well as a cycle‑to‑work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks including ongoing CPC training updates.

What You'll Do On a Typical Day

  • Single or multi‑drop deliveries, generally a maximum of three per load
  • Ensure the safe and legal operation of your vehicle at all times
  • Typically, Mon to Fri – 05:00 to 16:00 – flexibility required
  • Expectation being Mon to Thurs nights tramping

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

  • Full UK driving licence (with CE entitlement)
  • No more than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
  • Great knowledge of the UK roads nationally
  • Element of manual offloading of product on occasion, so a level of physical fitness is required to achieve this.
  • Flexibility to be out up to four nights per week.
  • Adaptability to drive Class 2 vehicles on occasion desirable.
  • HIAB experience preferable but not essential as training available
  • Construction industry experience preferable but again not essential – full load restraining and product offloading training given – hands on requirement
