Logistics done differently. Our business is growing, and as such we are on the search for a career driven Senior Operations Manager based at our site in Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will be an experienced people manager within a transport/logistics background. This role has been identified as a key succession position within the site leadership structure. The successful candidate will be a core member of the site SLT and will work closely with the existing Site Manager, with a clear development pathway over the next 12 months into a future Site Manager role. We are looking for an individual who is keen to progress their career and take on full site leadership accountability in the near future.

Pay, Benefits And More

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £53,000 per annum with car allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

  • To manage the performance of the operational teams on site across all shifts, and to ensure behavioural standards are met at all times.
  • To oversee the strategic planning of site operations and service delivery to ensure that KPI levels are maintained in line with the appropriate cost base.
  • To monitor and ensure compliance with all XPO processes and policies.
  • To lead a safety culture on site and actively participate in all QSHE meetings and initiatives.
  • To foster an effective working relationship with all colleagues and representatives on site.
  • To provide leadership and development opportunities for those colleagues that wish to further their career within XPO.
  • To be accountable for service and operational expenditure across Transport & Warehouse functions.
  • To effectively deputise for the Site Manager when required.
