I'm working with a leading specialty insurance organisation undergoing a major IT transformation into a product-led model. They're looking for an Applications Manager to take ownership of a suite of critical enterprise systems, working closely with senior stakeholders and managing vendors to drive service quality and performance.
Role Details:
- Service management across business-critical applications (policy admin, content & document management)
- Managing offshore vendors/partners and holding them accountable to SLAs
- Acting as a key bridge between engineering leads, business units & IT
- Leading on P1/P2 incident resolution, driving stability and continuous improvement
What they're looking for:
- Strong Application/Service Management experience (3-5 years+)
- Proven vendor & offshore management experience
- Solid background in specialty/London Market insurance
- Experience with ServiceNow & Azure DevOps & Verisk
- Ability to operate in high-pressure environments with senior stakeholders (Head/Director level)
- Prior line management/leadership of hybrid teams
Nice to have:
- Exposure to Guidewire, Newgen, ImageRight or similar platforms
- Understanding of Agile/product-led environments
- Awareness of AWS and modern delivery practices
