We are looking for a Principal Product Data Scientist to join a team developing predictive maintenance products and advanced machine learning solutions for a FTSE 100 organisation.
This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who combines strong machine learning expertise with excellent software engineering practices and a product-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
Designing, developing and deploying machine learning models
Translating business challenges into robust modelling approaches
Working across the full data science lifecycle, from discovery through to deployment
Maintaining high standards of code quality and engineering practice
Reviewing code and contributing to collaborative development processes
Explaining complex results and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications
Extensive commercial experience in machine learning and predictive modelling
Strong software engineering capability, ideally in Python
Experience deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production
Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their underlying principles
Ability to work independently and lead complex initiatives
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Predictive maintenance experience
MLOps and model deployment experience
Cloud-based machine learning platforms
Experience building customer-facing or product-focused solutions
