Front-End Developer (React) – Up to ÂŁ55,000 – Hybrid (Manchester) A forward-thinking company specializing in Cloud IoT Analytics is looking for a talented Front-End Developer to join their agile, innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of modern, componentized web applications and help migrate legacy systems to React . You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing platforms and build the next generation of data-driven solutions. The Role: As a Front-End Developer, you will play a critical role in developing a suite of applications, focusing on user experience, scalability, and performance. You’ll work with both Angular and React systems, using TypeScript and Material UI , and contribute to creating reusable, modular components that shape future development efforts. Key Responsibilities: 1. Application Development: Take a hands-on role in developing new applications, enhancing user experience, and optimizing performance. Migrate legacy systems to modern React applications using TypeScript and Material UI 3 . Maintain and improve existing Angular applications with a focus on scalability and usability. Build reusable, modular components for future application development. 2. Collaborative Specification: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and fellow developers to define and refine feature specifications. Break down specifications into actionable development tasks using Jira . 3. Quality Assurance: Participate in testing, peer code reviews, and ensure high code quality across the team. Continuously improve the codebase by adhering to best practices and applying the “Scout’s Rule” to leave code better than you found it. Skills and Qualifications: JavaScript & TypeScript Expertise: Strong experience in modular, component-based development. Frontend Frameworks: Proven experience with React Responsive Design: Expertise in CSS Pre-processing (Sass) and cross-browser development. Material UI: Familiarity with Material UI to create intuitive, consistent interfaces. Testing Frameworks: Experience with Jasmine , Jest , Playwright , Cypress , or Nightwatch.js . Collaboration & Ticketing: Ability to collaborate effectively and create actionable development tasks in Jira . Build Tools & APIs: Strong understanding of NPM , build tools, and working with various APIs.
