Overview
We're working with a growing organisation that is investing heavily in its technology estate and digital workplace experience. As a Digital Support Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring employees have access to reliable, secure and high performing technology. This is a hands‑on position that combines technical support, Microsoft 365 administration, device management and workplace technology ownership. The role would suit someone currently working in a Service Desk, Desktop Support, IT Support, Digital Workplace or 2nd Line Support position who is looking to broaden their responsibilities and gain exposure to modern workplace technologies. You'll work closely with infrastructure, cloud and security teams while taking ownership of a wide range of end‑user technologies and services.
What You'll Be Doing
- End User Support
- Provide 2nd Line support for hardware, software and user issues.
- Act as an escalation point for more complex technical problems.
- Support both remote and office based users.
- Investigate recurring issues and help identify long‑term solutions.
- Deliver a high quality customer experience across the business.
- Microsoft 365 & Identity
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange and OneDrive.
- Assist with user access, permissions and identity management.
- Support collaboration tools and hybrid working technologies.
- Help manage licensing and user onboarding processes.
- Devices & Endpoint Management
- Configure and deploy laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
- Support Windows and Apple environments.
- Assist with device compliance, patching and security standards.
- Support joiner, mover and leaver processes.
- Gain exposure to Intune, Autopilot and modern device management.
- Workplace Technology
- Support meeting room technology and collaboration tools.
- Troubleshoot audio visual and conferencing issues.
- Assist with WiFi, networking and printing support.
- Help ensure a seamless hybrid working experience.
- Continuous Improvement
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.
- Contribute to service improvements and technology projects.
- Support the adoption of new workplace technologies and AI tools.
