I'm working with a leading specialty insurance organisation undergoing a major IT transformation into a product‑led model. They're looking for an Applications Manager to take ownership of a suite of critical enterprise systems, working closely with senior stakeholders and managing vendors to drive service quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Service management across business‑critical applications (policy admin, content & document management)
  • Managing offshore vendors / partners and holding them accountable to SLAs
  • Acting as a key bridge between engineering leads, business units & IT
  • Leading on P1/P2 incident resolution, driving stability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Strong Application / Service Management experience (3‑5 years+)
  • Solid background in specialty / London Market insurance
  • Experience with ServiceNow & Azure DevOps & Verisk
  • Ability to operate in high‑pressure environments with senior stakeholders (Head / Director level)
  • Prior line management / leadership of hybrid teams

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Guidewire, Newgen, ImageRight or similar platforms
  • Understanding of Agile / product‑led environments
  • Awareness of AWS and modern delivery practices
