Contract: Initial 6 months
We are working with a leading retail and distribution business undertaking a significant data transformation project. They are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to play a key role in developing a modern reporting and analytics environment.
This is a greenfield opportunity to move the business away from Excel-based reporting towards a more powerful, scalable BI solution using Power BI and ETL processes. The role will involve end-to-end delivery of dashboards and data models that will improve visibility across core business functions, including sales, operations, and inventory.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather reporting and data visualisation requirements
- Design and build Power BI dashboards and reports from the ground up
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to consolidate data from legacy sources
- Lead the transition from Excel to a dynamic BI platform
- Create robust data models and implement DAX measures for advanced insights
- Support and mentor internal users to ensure long-term capability within the team
Strong commercial experience as a Power BI Developer
Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
Proficient in Power BI, Power Query, and DAX
Demonstrable experience moving organisations from Excel to modern BI tools
