For one of our clients, a fast-growing technology scale-up based in London, we are looking for a Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures that support the company’s continued growth across Europe. This is a strategic, hands-on role for an experienced security professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing architecture decisions, and helping engineering teams build secure-by-design cloud platforms.
You’ll work closely with engineering, platform, DevOps, and product teams to define security standards, strengthen cloud infrastructure, and ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
- AWS or Azure
- Cloud Security Services
- Designing secure cloud-native architectures for scalable software platforms
- Defining cloud security standards, governance, and best practices
- Leading threat modelling and security architecture reviews
- Implementing identity, access management, and zero-trust security principles
- Driving DevSecOps initiatives across engineering teams
- Supporting compliance, risk management, and security improvement programmes
- Collaborating with platform and infrastructure teams to strengthen cloud resilience and operational security
7+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Security Architecture, DevSecOps, or Platform Security
- Strong experience designing secure AWS or Azure environments
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container security, and cloud-native architectures
- Strong knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption, and cloud security best practices
- Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST
- Kubernetes security and admission control tools
- Security automation and policy-as-code solutions
- Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP
- Previous experience mentoring engineers or leading security architecture initiatives
