Xpert Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver on behalf of a well-established business based near Newmarket.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing company offering a permanent position with excellent earning potential, regular overtime, and long-term career prospects.

Duties will include

  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries across the UK
  • Transport heavy goods safely and securely
  • Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
  • Ensure all loads are correctly secured before departure
  • Comply with all road traffic legislation, Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations
  • Follow planned delivery schedules and communicate any delays
  • Assist with the safe loading and unloading of materials where required
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service at all delivery locations
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle

Skills/Experience

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Driver CPC Qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience
  • Experience with multi-drop deliveries
  • Experience transporting heavy or awkward loads would be advantageous
  • Forklift experience would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
  • Strong attention to detail

Hours of work

  • Monday to Friday
  • Start time from 6:00am depending on delivery schedules
