Xpert Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver on behalf of a well-established business based near Newmarket. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing company offering a permanent position with excellent earning potential, regular overtime, and long-term career prospects.
Duties will include:
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries across the UK
- Transport heavy goods safely and securely
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured before departure
- Comply with all road traffic legislation, Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations
- Follow planned delivery schedules and communicate any delays
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of materials where required
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at all delivery locations
- Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations
- Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
Skills/Experience:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Experience with multi-drop deliveries
- Experience transporting heavy or awkward loads would be advantageous
- Forklift experience
