We are looking for a technically minded Production Operative to join our clients busy manufacturing environment. This is not just a manual production role. You will need to be comfortable working with computers, following technical processes, working with numbers and using a methodical approach to identify faults and ensure products meet the required quality standards. The Role
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the production process and ensuring finished products meet the required specifications. Your duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Using computer systems and software as part of the production process
- Following detailed work instructions and production specifications
- Carrying out quality checks on products coming from machines
- Inspecting finished products for defects, inconsistencies or abnormalities
- Measuring and recording production data accurately
- Working with numbers and checking measurements, quantities and tolerances
- Identifying issues with products or machinery and reporting them appropriately
- Making adjustments to processes where trained and authorised to do so
- Completing production records and documentation
- Ensuring products meet quality and customer requirements
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working closely with other members of the production and technical teams
