We are partnering with an established, globally operating organisation recognised for its commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and well-crafted products. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager – UK & Ireland to join a well-established, market-leading organisation within a technical B2B environment. This is a maternity cover position, offering an immediate start and running through to October 2027.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take full ownership of the UK & Ireland sales function—driving performance, executing the existing sales strategy, and leading both internal and external sales teams to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all sales operations across the UK & Ireland, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.
- Execute the established UK sales strategy, driving revenue growth and delivering against targets.
- Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and direction to both internal and field-based sales teams.
- Build, maintain, and develop relationships with key accounts.
- Monitor individual and team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and regular business updates to senior stakeholders.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine sales strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including logistics, warehouse, marketing, and finance.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture across the team.
- Support a smooth transition and handover to the permanent Sales Manager at the end of the contract.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally within a technical or construction-related sector.
- Proven experience in a sales leadership/management role, with strong team development capabilities.
- Results-driven, commercially minded, and highly self-motivated.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex product offerings.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales performance reporting tools.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Industry-specific knowledge (highly desirable but not essential).

Additional Information
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (office-based in Stoke-on-Trent).
