Overview
Graduate Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support / General Teaching Assistant roles. 2 full-time positions with commitment for the next academic year 2016/2017. Immediate Start Available. Salary £65 – £90 per day.
The Role
The school are looking for two dedicated individuals with a genuine passion for working with children and some previous experience in a supporting role with young people. As a General classroom support teaching assistant / SEN teaching assistant your responsibilities will be:
- To provide continued support for the teacher within a chosen classroom for the academic year.
- To carry out one to one and small group intervention work with students.
- Providing tuition and booster sessions with pupils working at a lower ability or on the Special Educational Needs register.
- Guided Reading sessions and providing numeracy and literacy support.
- To aid the school where necessary becoming an integral part of the schools support team.
- Working one to one with students working to a lower ability in order to provide increased levels of support.
The positions available cover classes in both key stage 1 and key stage 2 and if successful in your teaching assistant application classes will be allocated dependent on your strengths and your wishes will be taken into account.
