About The Role: We are looking for an exceptional Senior Solutions Architect to join our established team, as we scale to become the digital transformation partner of choice for SMBs in the UK. We’re on a mission to provide innovation, secure and efficient technology strategies across rapidly evolving digital landscapes for our growing client base.

As a seasoned and widely skilled technologist, you will confidently work across traditional on-premise IT, public cloud platforms (notably Microsoft Azure), modern workplace tooling, and emerging technology such as AI, Copilot and automation frameworks. This role is not just about designing solutions – it’s about shaping the future of technology for our clients!

You will work closely with our Commercial function to engage customers, understand their challenges, and build strategic technical solutions that drive transformation. You’ll also contribute to the design and evolution of our technology stack, influencing product strategy in collaboration with the Chief Product Officer, and support delivery teams to ensure ongoing client success.

What you’ll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis:

  • Customer Engagement & Solution Strategy: Engage with customers in pre-sales and discovery phases to develop tailored solution architectures that meet both current needs and future growth. Present complex technical strategies clearly to non-technical stakeholder and executive audiences. Collaborate with commercial teams to shape winning propositions and build customer trust.
  • Technology Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design of client architectures across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments. Have a strong technical networking background to design solutions and then support through lifecycle of projects. Develop and promote reference architectures, standards and reusable frameworks. Stay at the forefront of new and emerging technologies; evaluate and integrate these capabilities to create competitive advantage. Participate in customer and prospect webinars and events to help educate our base and promote Xperience as the digital transformation partner of choice. Collaborate with the Product team to standardise designs and ensure scalable, repeatable builds that can be delivered by the projects team and implemented for customers.
  • Security, Data & Governance: Ensure all designs are secure-by-default, aligning with modern cybersecurity frameworks. Support the definition and implementation of data governance, compliance, and risk management policies. Champion secure architecture practices across internal teams and client engagements. Write Statement of Work (SoWs), technical scopes, and delivery models in collaboration with project managers and consultants. Work alongside engineering and delivery teams to provide architecture oversight, mentoring, and assurance through project lifecycles. Guide and support consultants and engineers in developing their technical expertise and solution building confidence. Ensure that standardised designs are implemented effectively to maintain consistency and scalability across customer projects.
  • Internal Innovation & Roadmap Shaping: Contribute to the internal product and service portfolio in partnership with the Chief Product Officer and product managers. Identify opportunities for new services, technologies or platforms to enhance our customer offering and operational efficiency. Assist in proof-of-concept, researching, designing, testing and implementing when necessary. Balance innovation with standardisation to ensure that new solutions can be scaled and repeated across multiple customer projects.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience designing and delivering Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-premises infrastructure across diverse industries including healthcare, construction, retail, legal, and charities.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-premises server and network infrastructure, with the ability to design secure, scalable, and cost-effective hybrid environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, client-facing Statements of Work (SoWs) that clearly define scope, deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
  • Skilled in translating complex technical solutions into clear, commercially aligned documentation that supports both technical delivery and sales processes.
  • Experience creating High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) tailored to regulated and non-regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to work closely with commercial and sales teams to shape solutions that align with client needs, budgets, and strategic goals.
  • Comfortable participating in pre-sales engagements, including client workshops, proposal development, and bid support.
  • Able to balance technical integrity with commercial viability, ensuring solutions are both effective and profitable.
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials).
  • Experience designing secure-by-default architectures, including identity management, data protection, and endpoint security.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading client discovery sessions, technical workshops, and project handovers.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced MSP environment.
  • Ability to travel across NI/GB as required.
  • Ability to live and work in the UK without Visa sponsorship.
  • Understanding of licensing models and cost optimisation strategies for non-profits and SMEs.
  • Knowledge of modern workplace transformation (e.g., Teams Voice, Microsoft Viva, Copilot for M365).
  • Exposure to Zero Trust Architecture and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).
  • Understanding of data governance and information protection in M365.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization.
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud strategies.
