The Role
The Business Applications Lead Consultant will be responsible for the successful requirements gathering, design, implementation and support ofsolutionsfor our clients.
The role will also provide assistance and insight to the Xperience Commercial Team to drive product adoption with clients and prospects, and build commercial awareness within our teams.
The Lead Consultant will be a seasoned Business Central Functional Consultant and subject matter expert with a broad knowledge across the Business Applications portfolio for the UK SME market and the Construction Industry.
The appointable candidate will have a detailed understanding of the Construction Industry in relation to processes, terminology and be fully up to date and informed on all Construction Industry legislation.
The Lead Consultant will take full ownership of all projects and will have a key role in mentoring and supporting other Business Applications Consultants.
Qualifications, Competencies And Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience working within Dynamics365 Business Central/Navision (2013 version onwards) as demonstrated by having independently led 10+ full life cycle implementations of varying scale in at least one of the following industries:
- Finance
- Warehousing/ Distribution
- Construction
- Manufacturing
- Have fully implemented at least three Business Central systems for a Construction Industry company.
- Full understanding of Construction Industry processes/Terminology and legislation.
This will include Application for Payment Processes, Retention Control, Subcontractor CIS Legislation and CVR processing.
- Significant experience in using third party solutions such as Continia and Jet Reports
- 3+ years experience in design, implementation, support and management of Business Central solutions
- Working knowledge of Office365 and how it applies to the Dynamics 365 suite
- Previous experience of D365 Development using C/AL code
- Ability to produce reports in SSRS
- Demonstratable user experience of Power BI or other business intelligence skills
- Ability to assist in developing accurate project plans, with a track record of delivering on budget and on time.
- Ability to accurately estimate effort and time required from the team to deliver the solution the client needs
- Experience in coaching and mentoring other consultants within your field
- Ability and relevant experience in working with clients with a diverse set of requirements across multiple industries
- Previous experience of working in a pre-sales capacity

- Work with the Commercial Team in a pre-sales capacity to provide demos and quotations and assistance with proposals
- Carry out project scoping as required and engage fully with the client so that they clearly define their wants and needs.
This will mainly revolve around Construction companies and related Construction industries.
At this stage it may also be necessary to review the client’s relevant internal business processes so that our optimum solutions can be designed/offered
- Document the client’s requirements so that appropriate solutions can be designed and accurate project plans can be produced which guide the client through a successful implementation
- Works independently on project implementation training and support with the client across the wide portfolio of Business Central including:
- Data migration
- System testing
- System configuration
- Ownership of all tasks assigned including liaising with clients as and when required. This will include all administrative aspects of the project including:
- Client agendas
- Full job card management
- Co-ordination and collaboration with other Business Applications team members to work towards successful project delivery for our clients
- Develop and maintain a broad product knowledge across the Business Applications portfolio which drive continued product adoption across the business, whilst anticipating and ensuring that the company’s offerings are in line with market and competitor trends.
- Take responsibility for one’s own professional development, through continuous learning, to ensure that any contractual or partnership accreditations or certifications are achieved
- Provide support and mentorship to other Business Applications Consultants acting as a subject matter expert, by sharing knowledge and developing others whilst collaborating with other areas of the business to increase internal product and service knowledge and client product/service adoption.
- Provide support to our clients by working on our Support Desk.
This includes acting as a point of escalation for support incidents, within the Business Applications department, providing advice and assistance to aid in the resolution of support incidents
- Be available to provide support to the client during the implementation phase of their project and respond in a timely manner to their queries and concerns
- Maintain positive client engagement satisfaction throughout the entire life cycle of the engagement with the client
- Work collaboratively across departments and locations, demonstrating company values and behaviours
