Salt are partnered with a leading cultural and education organisation and are looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager (Events) to join their Marketing team on a 2 month contract.

Location: London

Working pattern: Full-time (35 hours per week)

About the Role

This role leads the marketing and communications activity for a high‑profile programme of live performances and public events. You'll deliver creative, data‑led campaigns that grow audiences, drive ticket sales and strengthen brand visibility across London's arts and culture landscape. The role combines strategic planning with hands‑on delivery, managing campaigns end‑to‑end, overseeing ticketing operations, working closely with external partners and line‑managing a Marketing & Communications Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the launch and promotion of seasonal performance programmes
  • Deliver multi‑channel marketing campaigns for live events and public performances
  • Oversee production and approval of digital and print marketing materials
  • Manage ticketing set‑up and act as main liaison with external box office partners
  • Analyse sales and audience data, producing insights and reports for stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with a media relations agency and coordinate press activity
  • Ensure event listings and content across websites and platforms are accurate
  • Work closely with development, venue and partner marketing teams to align campaigns
  • Approve third‑party materials referencing the organisation, ensuring brand compliance
  • Line‑manage and develop a Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Requirements

  • Degree‑level education or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications or PR
  • Strong knowledge of classical music and live performance, with insight into London audiences
  • Proven experience delivering marketing campaigns in an arts or live events environment
  • Excellent copy writing, editing and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience producing high‑quality digital and print marketing materials
  • Confident using data to inform planning and evaluate campaign performance
  • Experience working with media relations agencies and UK arts media
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience managing brand identity and mentoring or line‑managing junior staff

Rates depend on experience and client requirements.
