Shift Patterns: Initially: Day shift (06:00β14:00). Future: May rotate to 3-shift pattern (06:00β14:00, 14:00β22:00, 22:00β06:00).
Pay Rates: Day Shift: Β£20.57/hour; 2 Rotating Shifts: Β£21.75/hour; 3 Rotating Shifts: Β£22.08/hour; Permanent Nights: Β£22.85/hour.
About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team in Northampton. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of our production equipment and plant systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of machinery.
- Support plant services including steam, compressed air, and water circulation systems.
- Maintain hydraulic/pneumatic systems and microprocessor-controlled moulding equipment.
- Complete mechanical, electrical, and basic gas and welding repairs.
- Conduct inspections, stock checks, and order spare parts.
- Participate in plant shutdowns/start-ups and respond to breakdowns.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in line with 5S practices.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and ISO IATF 16949 standards.
- Complete and present 12 improvement projects annually.
- Proactively engage in training and skill development.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems, and fault-finding techniques.
- Comfortable working across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and communicate effectively with other departments.
- Flexibility to work different shifts based on business needs.
