We are urgently seeking 5 LGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to work on clean Bay - Bay trunks utilising Fridge units, with nights out as required. Our client is located in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This highly reputable client uses drivers on an all year round basis driving modern LGV Class 1 units with a variety of shift patterns to suit including Wed-Sun, Thu-Mon & Fri-Tue.
As a professional LGV Class 1 Tramper Driver you must possess all the necessary skills and qualifications to join our team.
Duties:- Operate fridge units to deliver goods across designated routes.
- Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and properly balanced before transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained throughout the course of duty.
- LGV Class 1 Licence - max 6 points for insurance purposes.
- Previous experience of tramping is a help but not essential.
- Excellent driving skills and a 'can do' attitude to the role.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
