About the role:
Crane Plastics Ltd specialises in the advanced machining of engineering plastic materials, producing small-to-medium batch sizes for industries including Oil & Gas, Formula 1, and Food. We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller/Turner who can confidently set and operate CNC machines independently. Programming ability is desirable but not essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines
- Produce precision components to specification
- Carry out self-inspection and quality checks
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements
- Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and safe working practices
What we’re looking for:
- Previous CNC machining experience
- Ability to set and operate machines unaided
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Positive, friendly attitude and strong work ethic
- Mechanical knowledge and confidence using hand tools
- Basic mathematical skills for machining calculations
Desirable skills:
- CNC programming experience
- Familiarity with Alphacam and Fusion CAD
- Milling and turning expertise across a range of materials
