We are seeking an experienced Service Asset & Configuration Management SME with strong hands-on expertise in defining Configuration Management and IT Asset Management processes.
Experience in data governance and ensuring CMDB data issues are reported and assigned to the data owners for remediation. A strong knowledge of ServiceNow and understanding the key components of the CMDB and the features to help keep data accurate.
Key Responsibilities- Strategy & Policy: Input into the SACM strategy across the organization, ensuring alignment to business objectives. Implementation of the strategy and definition of SACM policies.
- Process & Procedures: Define and maintain SACM processes and procedures across the organization with clear roles and responsibilities, covering the whole life cycle of assets and configuration items.
- Data Governance: Ensure the key components of data governance are in place including data quality, data rules, lifecycle management, auditing and reporting.
- Reporting & Metrics: Create, analyze, & verify CMDB reporting to ensure the CMDB is accurate, to enable key stakeholders to make data driven decisions across the business.
- Automation & Continuous Improvement: Proactively look to improve all aspects of the CMDB including processes, tooling and data accuracy. Ensuring the business can trust the data and use it as the single source of truth.
- Support & Training: A CMDB subject expert for BAU and project teams across the organization, enabling the business to adopt and fully utilize the CMDB for their needs.
- Strong hands-on experience defining Configuration Management & IT Asset Management policies, processes and procedures.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow CSDM, CMDB components and associated data models.
- Experience in creating, executing and analyzing CMDB related reporting.
- Experience of working in ITIL aligned organizations.
- ITIL 4 Foundation
- ITIL 4 Practitioner β Configuration Management and IT Asset Management (preferred)
- ServiceNow ITSM or CMDB related certifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
