Perform all changes to organization standards across the whole network stack, including cloud, on‑premises datacenters, including internet edge and ACI Fabric, branch, WAN, and operate CSM/FMC to deploy firewall rules where required.
Design and implement network connectivity between on‑premise datacenters and the cloud and within the cloud. This requires extensive knowledge of Direct Connect, Equinix Fabric, AWS DX gateways, AWS Transit Gateways (TGW) and site‑to‑site VPN to connect third parties and on‑premises networks to the cloud. A thorough understanding of VPC and VPC peering is essential. Work with AWS Marketplace products and set up Cloud Services Routers (CSRs) and firewalls from multiple vendors. Firewalls may be dual‑stack with separate vendors with HA essential; may extend to autoscaling. Experience with AWS Firewall is preferred. Apply IPS at all layers across the firewalls and understand FirePOWER services.
Implement ExpressRoute within a hybrid Exchange environment, using a combination of on‑premises servers and M365 SaaS. Be comfortable with firewall platforms such as Cisco ASA/FirePOWER, CheckPoint, and multiple‑context firewalls from Cisco and CheckPoint, and with deployment tools such as Cisco CSM, Cisco FMC, Fortigate/Fortinet, etc. Possess strong debugging skills with the ability to run packet captures and Wireshark traces. Good working knowledge of ACLs. Understand BGP, OSPF, policy‑based routing and prefix lists across ASR/ISR and IOS‑XE. Have a good grasp of NX‑OS and ACI; Python and Postman are a bonus.
Operate datacenter switching and routing within Cisco ACI Fabric with a spine‑and‑leaf topology. Be familiar with ACI deployment in the core infrastructure, including tenant firewalling (Production, Secure Management, Dev/Test). Connect partners and vendors via a separate VRF on the WAN; manage three‑tier stacks (Cisco ASA, CheckPoint, Cisco ASA) across multiple DMZs for comprehensive security. Utilize network tools such as Riverbed CMC, Cisco CSM, Voyager, CheckPoint Manager, CPI for WiFi, ISE for NAC, and future technologies like TrustSec, RSA tools, SolarWinds Orion, Cisco ACS, Infoblox, etc. Proficiency in Wireshark is required.
Qualifications & Certifications: Engineering/Computer Science Degree or related qualifications. AWS and Cisco certifications. Python and Postman (bonus).
