What We're Looking For And What You'll Do

Xodus continues to grow its support offering to the offshore energy industry and we have a need for a Principal / Specialist Consultant with experience of preparing and reviewing oil and gas permitting in the UKCS. Working as a key senior member of our Permits & Licensing team, you will provide support to a diverse portfolio of oil and gas projects from project concept through to late life and decommissioning. Depending on your experience, you will act as a Project Manager or Project Sponsor, or be seconded into client teams. In either capacity, you will lead day-to-day client relationships, manage challenging permitting and licensing projects, and guide consultants within the team to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. Our secondment opportunities place you at the heart of client projects, providing direct permitting and consenting support to operators. Supported by the wider Xodus team, you will bring practical advice to project delivery while acting as a valuable link between the client and the wider business. You will be responsible for permit preparation, report writing and quality assurance, and client liaison, helping to drive high-quality delivery, with support from other senior consultants.

Requirements

  • Significant demonstrated professional experience in oil and gas permitting (including term and life chemical permitting)
  • Strong knowledge of offshore energy industries during operation and/or late life stages
  • Experience in leading and project managing scopes of work
  • Degree level training in a relevant discipline e.g., environment, chemistry, engineering
  • Strong understanding of the offshore legislation and involvement in reviewing and consulting on relevant legislation
  • Proven track record of engaging effectively with operators, regulators and stakeholders
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
  • Confident and collaborative communicator with excellent analytical and writing skills
