Part of Xodus Group, Evolv Energies is at the forefront of major international projects where we bring a unique, integrated perspective and specialist engineering expertise to support offshore developers, investors and the wider construction and installation supply chain through Concept, Pre‑FEED, FEED and Detailed Design and also across Construction and Installation activities, predominately in relation to offshore wind, interconnectors and energy transition projects. We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Analysis Engineer to join our team in delivering offshore renewables analysis scopes across all project phases – from early engineering through to construction. This role is ideal for an engineer with expertise in Cable Protection Systems (CPS), dynamic cable design, mooring systems and cable lay modelling, including local stress analysis and fatigue assessment. Candidates with a background in oil & gas and a willingness to adapt are also encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will produce high‑quality technical work with minimal supervision, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing across a diverse range of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver analysis scopes including: cable lay modelling, dynamic cable design, CPS modelling, mooring design and installation analysis.
- Use OrcaFlex as the primary analysis tool; familiarity with UFLEX/ Helica, Python and other relevant software is advantageous.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their development and upskilling.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations and internal standards.
- Contribute to technical proposals and support ITT responses where required.
- Support other disciplines by providing technical or written input on a broad range of subjects as required, e.g. port studies, floater design.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience (Chartered Engineer status preferred) and a relevant Engineering or Naval Architecture degree.
- Strong ability with OrcaFlex software, analysis processes and offshore construction processes (some offshore experience preferred).
- Offshore renewables related analysis modelling experience, covering cable lay, CPS installation, dynamic cable design and mooring design.
- Strong report writing ability.
- Ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation and to external clients and subcontractors.
