SALARY: £38,500 rising to £40,000 upon completion of 6-month probation
LOCATION: St Albans
SETTING: Office based with two days a week working from home

JOB SPECIFICATION: Training & Development Specialist
You will be the content owner, facilitator and main point of contact for our weekly Induction and Onboarding programme, including communication plans, content design and review, and facilitation as well as leading XMA’s in-house soft skills training courses (e.g. Having Great Conversations) including course delivery, stakeholder management, preparation of materials, and assessment.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- You will own our Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year competitions, including communications to the business and individuals, discussions with the board, and liaising with payroll.
- Weekly Induction: Manage our Induction programme, including communication plans, content design and review, and facilitation
- Onboarding of new starters: Support our managers with the onboarding of new starters
- Lead trainer: Facilitation and content creation for our soft skills workshops
- Training Needs Analysis: Support with our quarterly review of the development requirements of the business
- Managing key stakeholders: Act as an advisor to the business for talent and development processes
REQUIREMENTS: Training & Development Specialist
We are looking for someone with experience of working in a training environment with these skills below:
- Confident when facilitating learning both virtually and face-to-face
- Strong IT skills – including databases, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams
- Confidence in communicating at all levels and to all groups of people
- Accurate, methodical with excellent attention to detail
- Happy to deal with routine
- Excellent written communication
