An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a busy Commercial Finance team based in Nottingham. This role would suit someone with previous finance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to further develop their accounting knowledge. You’ll support the team with month-end processes, reconciliations, reporting activities, and general finance administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Perform balance sheet and accounts reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Assist with journals
- Support the preparation of Apple Claims
- Assist with audit requests and documentation
- Respond to internal and external finance queries
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Provide general finance and administrative support as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Experience with D365 or similar accounting software is advantageous
- Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be beneficial
