SALARY: £40,000 – £45,000

SETTING: Hybrid with two days a week working from home

At XMA we have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to join the team based at the Nottingham office.
You will be responsible for taking ownership of the end-to-end bidding process and creating winning propositions through leveraging the capabilities, solutions and services of XMA and its partners.
Responsibilities include management of all company bid procedures and processes. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management skills in a dynamic sales environment.
JOB SPECIFICATION: Bid Manager
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Taking the lead on the highly complex and strategically important bids that XMA choose to pursue.
- Managing the bid qualification process for new opportunities.
- Lead storyboarding / answer planning development
- Lead virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery.
- Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process.
- Creating, implementing and managing the Bid Plan to deliver bid requirements on time and on budget.
- Lead the written proposal – blending content from multiple sources into a coherent proposal that maximises XMAs quality scores.
REQUIREMENTS: Bid Manager
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following experience:
- Relevant experience of bid writing and proposal management including copywriting, text authoring, quality checking and general project ownership.
- Commercially minded, flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously whilst working to deadlines.
- Highly literate and an excellent communicator.
- Able to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities.
Experience in Public and Private Sector Procurement and some of the following Sales Vertical will be advantageous, Local and Central Government, Higher and Further Education, Schools and Academies, Health, Corporate.
