Shepton Farm Vets are looking for an experienced Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team. Established in 1922, Shepton Veterinary Group has been supporting the farming community for over 100 years. From our main site in Shepton Mallet, we work with a proactive client base across Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset, delivering modern, high-quality farm veterinary services. We are a proud member of XLVets.
The Role
You will join a well‑established team of 12 farm vets, supported by 4 Veterinary Technicians/ATTs, with excellent clinical, technical and administrative backup. The role offers a varied and rewarding caseload with a strong emphasis on dairy cattle work. Our services go well beyond reactive care and include:
- Proactive dairy herd health and fertility
- Data‑led decision making using Uniform and Total Vet
- Progressive beef and sheep health planning
- Laparoscopic DA correction and advanced breeding opportunities
- Vet Tech and ATT‑led services to support efficient vet time

About You
We are ideally looking for someone with:
