The Role:

We are looking for an ambitious Sales Development Representative to join our growing team. The role focuses on generating leads, developing relationships with potential clients, and supporting the broader sales team in achieving its targets. Previous experience in sales, particularly in SaaS/technology, is advantageous but not essential. You will be responsible for driving new business and contributing to Xledger’s growth within the market, acting as the first point of contact for many prospects and ensuring all activity is consistently captured in our CRM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prioritise, and generate new business leads in line with company objectives, using structured frameworks.
  • Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude with high energy and resilience.
  • Comfortable with routine tasks while remaining ambitious and career-driven, with a clear objective of progressing into senior ERP sales roles.
  • Support the Sales Manager and team in building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
  • Execute structured, multi-channel outreach (phone, LinkedIn, email) to engage with potential clients, build relationships, and convert qualified leads into opportunities.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns and initiatives that attract new prospects.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records and provide regular updates and reports to the Sales Manager on activity and progress.
  • Collaborate with Presales Consultants and BDMs by handing over fully qualified opportunities (based on agreed BANT/ICP criteria), ensuring smooth transition into the sales cycle.
  • Manage nurture and recycling processes for unresponsive or “not-yet-ready” leads, ensuring they remain engaged and can be re-activated when appropriate.
  • Complete weekly admin tasks, including clearing overdue tasks, reviewing open leads, and sharing weekly highlights, blockers, and learnings with the Sales team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a sales or business development role.
  • Proven ability to meet targets and KPIs.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, events, and conferences.
  • A self-motivated individual with a drive to succeed and develop within a sales environment.
  • Proficient in CRM systems with strong attention to detail in logging and updating activities.
  • Willingness to learn more about Xledger’s offerings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with lead generation and networking to identify new business opportunities.
  • Proactive in seeking out support and advice from peers and the wider team.
