As a Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in the Property claims team by managing and resolving claims for our customers. You will work closely with your manager coordinating with fellow claims adjusters to bring claims to resolution.

You will be based in our newly refurbished London or Ipswich office, however we are excited to have implemented our Smart Working initiative offering a hybrid way of working, combining both remote and office working.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Competent and efficient handling of all aspects of London Market Property claims.
  • Legal and policy liability assessment.
  • Investigation, coverage analysis, negotiation, settlement, and defence including litigation management.
  • Ensuring that communications, new claims, and notifications are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Provide superior customer service to policyholders and brokers.
  • Supporting Underwriting teams and key stakeholders in connection with claim trends, marketing, and business development.
  • Interaction with and support of management and all other relevant internal stakeholders.

You will report to the Claims Manager – Property.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Previous experience of property policy interpretation and/or claims handling experience.
  • Previous experience of handling London market claims (including knowledge of ECF).
  • Understanding how the Claims function operates.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for the management of assigned claims.
  • Delivering prompt, fair, innovative, and accurate claims service.
  • Creating a common understanding for both parties.
  • Works to establish relationships and collaborate effectively across the business.
  • Builds an established position in the management and resolution of Claims.
  • Understands and uses relevant data to gain buy-in and support.
  • Takes an interest in evolving technologies which benefit the Insurance market.
  • Is working towards their ACII (not essential).
