Role Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Pricing and Analytics team at AXA XL in London. You will support actuaries across the UK, Europe, and US, mainly producing analyses and tools for underwriting pricing in the Specialty business. The role involves collaboration with underwriters worldwide, IT teams, and senior actuarial staff. Initially focusing on Aerospace products, the role may expand to other Specialty lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic initiatives to improve loss ratios through new analysis and portfolio management tools.
  • Develop and promote pricing models for new or existing products.
  • Maintain and optimize existing actuarial pricing tools in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Manage data collection and analyze data for rate changes and profitability metrics.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to understand risk factors and potential losses.
  • Collaborate with the Pricing Data team to enhance data quality.
  • Troubleshoot user issues with pricing tools.
  • Train underwriters on tool usage.
  • Perform case pricing for large risks.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in mathematics, science, or economics.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, SQL, R, Python, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for complex information.
