Group Systems & Cloud Engineer | AWS, IAM, Zero Trust and automation, hybrid London

This is a systems and cloud role for someone who thinks like an engineer.
You will not just administer platforms.
You will make decisions about identity, access, security, automation and cloud design, and you will be expected to understand why things are built the way they are.

Their technology team supports the wider Group, with systems that need to be secure, scalable, reliable and cost-aware.
You will take ownership across identity, Saa S, endpoints, security tooling and cloud infrastructure, with AWS as a key part of the environment.
You will also work closely with Dev Ops on automation and infrastructure improvements.

You might be a Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Platform Engineer, Workplace Technology Engineer or Senior IT Engineer.
You do not need to have used every tool in this stack.
What matters is strong engineering judgement.
You understand IAM, Zero Trust, automation, cloud architecture and how to balance security, performance, cost and business need.
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Strong AWS experience, including access, networking, security and account management.
- A deep understanding of Identity and Access Management.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and secure access design.
- Experience with Jump Cloud, Okta or another Id P or MDM platform.
- SSO, SAML, OIDC, SCIM and automated provisioning.
- Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration.
- Windows and mac OS endpoint management through MDM.
- Scripting with Python, Power Shell, Bash or Google Apps Script.
- Good knowledge of networking, DNS, VPCs and traffic security.
- A practical approach to cost, performance and reliability optimisation.
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Good written and spoken English.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Manage IAM, access controls and identity lifecycle processes.
- Maintain SSO and automated provisioning across Saa S platforms.
- Administer Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Slack Enterprise Grid.
- Manage Windows and mac OS devices through MDM.
- Support AWS cloud accounts, networking, permissions and security.
- Apply Zero Trust principles across access, endpoints and cloud services.
- Monitor platform health and improve reliability.
- Automate operational tasks and reduce manual work.
- Support infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD initiatives.
- Review systems for cost, performance, resilience and risk.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues.
