Our client is an international engineering business whose technology helps manufacturers reduce energy use, operating costs and carbon emissions.

Your main responsibility will be managing and supporting CREST, a bespoke, business-critical platform used across the company to manage technical, customer and commercial information. CREST is built on a Microsoft Dynamics backend, with a custom tablet application used by engineers working on customer sites worldwide. It holds technical site data, product and pricing information, payback calculations and feeds into important business outputs.

You likely won't know CREST already, and nobody expects you to. What matters is that you have supported or administered a complex enterprise business application and are comfortable with users, permissions, workflows, configuration, reporting and troubleshooting.

Why This Opportunity

As Business Systems Manager, you will take day-to-day ownership of CREST, support users, make controlled changes, investigate issues and work with specialist suppliers when deeper technical support is needed. You will also work across Microsoft 365, Teams, Salesforce, Power Automate and the wider business systems environment, and gain exposure to an upcoming ERP programme. This is hands-on systems administration with real ownership.

Could This Be You?

You may currently be a Business Systems Manager, Systems Manager, Applications Manager, Business Applications Manager, CRM Systems Manager, Systems Administrator or Application Support Manager. The title matters less than the work you have done. You will be used to administering business-critical systems, supporting colleagues, managing access and permissions, understanding configuration and knowing how changes can affect wider processes and data.

What You'll Bring

  • Essential:
    • Experience administering or supporting Microsoft Dynamics or a comparable enterprise business application.
    • Hands-on Microsoft 365 and Teams administration.
    • Confidence with users, permissions, access, configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Experience understanding how system changes affect wider business processes.
    • Strong Excel and business data skills.
    • Excellent written and spoken English.
    • Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Useful:
    • Power Automate or Power BI.
    • Salesforce or CRM administration.
    • ERP implementation or administration.
    • Business Central or Acumatica.
    • Microsoft Copilot or wider AI tools.

Why You'll Enjoy It Here

You will get real ownership, broad exposure across the business and the freedom to improve how systems are used. There will be more office time early on so you can learn CREST, meet the team and make the most of any available handover. Once established, the Business Systems Manager role is typically around one day a week in the Bristol office.

Immediately available or on short notice? Great. Longer notice but a strong fit? Our client can work with that. The process is two interviews, then a decision. Apply through Xist4 for a confidential conversation. We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds and career paths who can bring the skills needed for the role.
