This is a hands-on business systems role with a strong data and reporting remit. It is not a pure Data Analyst, MI Analyst or requirements-only role. You will own core business applications, improve data quality, maintain reporting and help colleagues get more from the systems they use every day.

Why This Opportunity

Our client is a growing, technology-led professional services business with modern systems already in place. They now need one clear owner for business applications, CRM administration, data quality, reporting, dashboards and practical process improvement. The centre of the role is hands-on systems ownership. You will manage users, permissions, configuration, supplier coordination and colleague support, while also improving reporting, insight and automation.

Could This Be You

You might be a Business Systems Analyst, Applications Analyst, Systems Analyst, CRM Administrator, Operations Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator or Reporting Analyst with strong systems experience. You do not need every tool listed. You do need to enjoy owning business-critical SaaS platforms, supporting non-technical colleagues and turning messy operational problems into useful, adopted improvements. This will suit someone who is as comfortable in a meeting as they are in Power BI. You will be asking questions, sharing reports, explaining ideas and helping people act on what the data shows.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in a business systems, applications, CRM, reporting, operations systems or systems administration role.
  • Hands-on administration of a business-critical SaaS platform, CRM or business application.
  • User management, permissions, configuration and access control experience.
  • Reporting or dashboard experience, ideally Power BI or similar.
  • Confidence working with incomplete, inconsistent or business-critical data.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to explain systems, data and process clearly.
  • Highly communicative and proactive, with confidence presenting reports and ideas in meetings.
  • Experience gathering practical requirements from non-technical colleagues.
  • Process documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and business data.
  • Existing right to work in the UK.

Useful:

  • CRM administration.
  • Power Automate, Zapier, Make or n8n.
  • AI tools, APIs, agents or workflow automation.
  • Managing an outsourced IT provider.
  • Systems implementation, integration or data migration.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own day-to-day administration of core business systems.
  • Manage users, permissions, access and configuration.
  • Improve data quality across key platforms.
  • Maintain Power BI reports, dashboards and operational KPIs.
  • Support colleagues with routine systems and access queries.
  • Coordinate work with an external managed IT provider.
  • Gather requirements and turn them into practical improvements.
  • Present reports, insight and recommendations to colleagues.
  • Identify manual processes that can be automated.
  • Help assess, configure and roll out new software.

Why You'll Enjoy It Here

You will have genuine ownership of a defined systems and data environment. The business is small enough for your work to be seen, but mature enough to have useful tools, engaged stakeholders and clear priorities. This is a visible role in a professional services business. You will not be hidden away in the background. You will be trusted to speak up, share insight, challenge gently and help colleagues make better decisions.

Salary and Benefits

£50,000 to £55,000. Bristol. Hybrid working, three days a week in the office if local.
