This is a broad Business Systems and Data Analyst role for someone who likes ownership, variety, and visible impact. You will be the person who understands the systems, trusts the data, improves the reporting, and helps colleagues make better decisions. That means being proactive, highly communicative, and comfortable in the room, not hidden away behind dashboards.

Why This Opportunity

Our client is a growing, technology-led professional services business with modern systems already in place. They now need one clear owner for business applications, data quality, reporting, dashboards, and practical process improvement. This is not a narrow Data Analyst job. It is also not an IT support role. It sits between business systems, operations, data, reporting, and automation, with direct access to senior stakeholders and the freedom to suggest better ways of working.

Could This Be You

You might be a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Operations Analyst, Applications Analyst, Reporting Analyst, CRM Analyst, Systems Administrator, or Business Analyst with strong data skills. You do not need every tool listed. You do need to enjoy solving business problems, working closely with people, and turning messy requirements into useful, adopted improvements. This will suit someone as comfortable in a meeting as they are in Power BI. You will be asking good questions, sharing reports, explaining ideas, and helping people act on what the data shows.

What Youll Bring

  • Experience in a business systems, applications, data, reporting, operations analyst, or business analyst role.
  • Hands-on administration of a business-critical SaaS platform, CRM, or business application.
  • User management, permissions, configuration, and supplier coordination.
  • Reporting or dashboard experience, ideally with Power BI or a similar tool.
  • Confidence working with incomplete, inconsistent, or business-critical data.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to explain systems, data, and processes clearly.
  • Highly communicative and proactive, with confidence in presenting reports and ideas in meetings.
  • Experience gathering requirements from non-technical colleagues.
  • Process documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and business data.
  • Existing right to work in the UK.

Useful:

  • CRM administration.
  • Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or n8n.
  • AI tools, APIs, agents, or workflow automation.
  • Managing an outsourced IT provider.
  • Systems implementation, integration, or data migration.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Own day-to-day administration of core business systems.
  • Improve data quality across key platforms.
  • Maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and operational KPIs.
  • Support colleagues with access, configuration, and routine systems queries.
  • Coordinate work with an external managed IT provider.
  • Gather requirements and turn them into practical improvements.
  • Present reports, insights, and recommendations to colleagues.
  • Identify manual processes that can be automated.
  • Help assess, configure, and roll out new software.
  • Produce clear documentation and user guidance.

Why Youll Enjoy It Here

You will have genuine ownership of defined systems and data environments. The business is small enough for your work to be seen, but mature enough to have useful tools, engaged stakeholders, and clear priorities. This is a visible role in a professional services business. You will be trusted to speak up, share insight, challenge gently, and help colleagues make better decisions.

Salary and Benefits

£50,000 to £55,000. Bristol. Hybrid working, three days a week in the office if local.
