Systems and Data Manager | Dynamics, Business Systems and CREST, Hybrid Bristol £50,000 to £55,000 12-month fixed-term contract Hybrid, typically one day a week in the Bristol office once established, with more office time during the initial handover and learning period. Want a systems role where you take ownership of something genuinely important? Your main responsibility will be CREST, a bespoke technical platform that sits at the centre of how this international engineering business manages customer, technical, and commercial information. You will not know CREST already. What matters is that you know Microsoft Dynamics and business systems well enough to get to grips with it quickly. Why This Opportunity Our client is an international engineering business whose technology helps manufacturers reduce energy use, carbon emissions, and operating costs. CREST is built on a Microsoft Dynamics backend with a custom tablet-based front end used by engineers on customer sites around the world. It holds technical site data, product and pricing information, payback calculations, and feeds into customer proposals and documents. It touches many parts of the business, so you need to understand how changes in one area can affect others. You will own CREST day-to-day, with support from the Director of Operations, an experienced systems administrator, and specialist suppliers. There is also broader exposure across Salesforce, Microsoft 365, the Power Platform, and an upcoming ERP program. Could This Be You? You may be a Systems Manager, Business Systems Manager, Applications Manager, Dynamics Administrator, CRM Systems Manager, or Business Applications Specialist. You will be comfortable administering complex systems, managing permissions and access, investigating problems, making controlled changes, and knowing when to bring in specialist support. If Dynamics already feels familiar, CREST should make sense quickly. What You'll Bring Essential: Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics support and preferably administration. Experience administering business-critical systems. Strong knowledge of permissions, access, layouts, and reporting. Advanced Excel skills. Experience working with data across systems. Excellent written and spoken English. Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship. Useful: Power Automate or Power BI. Salesforce administration. ERP implementation or administration. Business Central or Acumatica. Microsoft Copilot or AI tools. What You'll Be Doing Own CREST day-to-day. Support users, permissions, and access. Investigate issues and manage escalations. Liaise with specialist technology suppliers. Make controlled system and workflow changes. Support Salesforce and Microsoft 365. Improve automation and reporting. Contribute to ERP specification and rollout planning. Why You'll Enjoy It Here You will see how the whole business works, not just one application. There is real ownership, but support is there when you need it. The role is hybrid. More office time early on will help you learn CREST, understand the business and, where timings allow, spend time with the current postholder before maternity leave. Once established, the working pattern becomes much more flexible, typically around one day a week in Bristol. Salary and Benefits £50,000 to £55,000. 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. Hybrid, typically one day a week in the Bristol office once established, with more office time during the initial handover and learning period. Let's Talk If you are immediately available or on short notice, great. If your notice period is longer but you are the right person, our client can accommodate it. The process is two interviews, then a decision. They are ready to move quickly. Apply through Xist4 for a confidential conversation. We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds and career paths who can bring the skills needed for the role
