The Secure Application Services (SAS) sub‑sector is part of the SDI BU within the Intelligence Mission Systems (IMS) sector. SAS is seeking to appoint a Director Consulting Expert (DCE) to provide technical consulting expertise and support business development for the ACROSTIC client, which is part of Secure Government. The DCE will be part of the Delivery Unit leadership team, reporting to the ACROSTIC DCS in SAS, and will also be part of the SAS management team. This is an opportunity to work for the largest UK client‑facing BU in an area that is well established, known for high performance, fast‑paced, and for delivering mission‑critical projects to a range of important clients.
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a client lead, with senior client relationships and proven ability to deliver optimal business solutions.
- Hold or be able to hold a current HMG HLC or any other current UK HLC that is less than three years old.
- Be able to attend a client site in Gloucestershire on a regular basis.
- Demonstrate experience of providing consulting expertise in a delivery role, ideally to HMG.
- Demonstrate experience of contributing to bids, ideally as a Solution Lead or as a key contributor.
- Have practical experience of working to CGI Management Framework, in particular CPMF and aspects of the Enterprise Policies and Processes.
Your Future Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with the Director team within SAS to define and shape an efficient ACROSTIC technology strategy that links consultancy with delivery, supports business growth and further enhances CGI's delivery reputation with the clients.
- Technical leadership for the ACROSTIC account, collaborating with wider SAS colleagues and other colleagues in SDI, the wider UK SBU, CGI Australia and CGI Canada.
- Support personal development for CGI Partners on ACROSTIC, supporting the ACROSTIC DCS.
- Lead mentoring, coaching and collaboration initiatives to promote knowledge sharing, build CGI's technology expertise and personal development of CGI Partners across ACROSTIC, TEMPO and other parts of SDI.
- Support recruitment activities to help recruit Partners aligned with cultural values and technology expertise.
- Develop and deliver regular team collaboration and events to ensure ongoing CGI Partner engagement, knowledge sharing and personal development.
- Promote Partner involvement in CGI's Social Value initiatives.
- Help shape and maintain a strong security culture that conforms to the client's requirements and CGI's.
- Take a full role in the monthly SAS Steering Board, Sector Cabinet and BU Director events.
- Provide technical leadership to underpin the successful delivery of all CGI projects/services rendered to clients under your responsibility.
- Ensure technical governance and assurance are in place.
- Support CSAPs in line with the SAS CSAP plan.
- Work with the ACROSTIC DCS and the IMS team of DCs to support engagement with new client areas as required.
- Support the DCS to maintain a pipeline of new opportunities, engagement extensions and enhancements.
- Remain up to date with CGI offerings that may be relevant to the business domain, including Crypt Key technologies, Cloud (AWS) and AI technologies.
- Support the ACROSTIC DCS to shape and produce viable CGI bids.
- Develop strong relationships with clients during assignments to bring clients additional CGI services and help them achieve their goals.
- Promote visibility of CGI expertise with local clients and in the market.
- Deliver client engagements and contribute to a high level of client satisfaction and on‑time/on‑budget delivery.

- Ideally the candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience of UK Secure Government clients, Cyber Security, Crypt Key Management and related technologies.
