Job Description We Are Xi -Senior Technical Project Manager About Us We are an interactive technology company creating pioneering, creative experiences for some of the largest brands. We are a fast-growing business who work with the likes of Nike, Man City, British Airways, The Hundred and Chessington World of Adventures. We have aspirations to become a global leader in our space and are looking for superstar employees to help us get there. Our customers are split between Experiential Marketing agencies, Retailers and Visitor Attractions. For 10 years we have built and owned our software platform to create interactive technology experiences such as photo and video experiences using AR and motion sensing, through to unique games and dynamic displays that blend digital with physical spaces. We Are Xi is part of the iuf Group, a fast-growing group of technology businesses with centralised functions such as support desk, offices, warehousing, finance and marketing. We work alongside the other businesses to share resource and responsibilities wherever possible. The Role We’re looking for a talented, experienced, Senior Technical Project Manager to own the operational delivery of the business. We’re looking for someone to not just be part of the team, but to help lead the business in the future. We want you to have aspirations of running the whole department in years to come and personally growing as fast as the company does. Please note: this is not a digital project manager role. You will be working across physical events and logistics, as well as software. Your role will involve managing project progress with our internal team, external clients as well as suppliers. You’ll be managing budgets, logistics, creative changes and ensuring that solutions are built on time and QA tested. You’ll spend most of the time in our office working with the team and technology, but there will be some travel to events and client meetings. We sell custom software in physical spaces; so our ideal candidate with have experience working on technology based projects with an understanding of the logistics involved in delivering physically installed. The majority of our projects are based around an event – meaning there is a non-moving deadline. A perfect candidate will have experience with these type of projects as well as have an understanding of the events industry. While the starting role does not have any direct-reports to begin with, you will be expected to task manage assigned team members to each of your projects to ensure that deadlines are continuously hit, and will have experience in driving teams to get the most out of people. So what will you be doing day to day? Attending handovers with our Client Services team on new projects Using our project management tools to plan projects in detail, assigning workload to team members and setting clear deadlines and budgets Providing internal status updates to the team through daily stand ups, messaging systems and scheduled check-in meetings Working with the technical team to understand scoping, timelines and testing for software development and hardware requirements Purchasing hardware from suppliers and negotiating rates Briefing third party suppliers where additional support is required Acting as the main point of correspondence with clients for assigned projects regarding status updates and any change requests Discussing change requests with the client services team and processing additional invoices Working with the warehouse team to understand larger logistics and booking additional engineer resource if needed Booking logistics including transport and travel for team members Reporting on project accounting to ensure that budgets are hit Proposing new and improved systems for the business to follow Working with the shared Support Desk to deliver solution fixes where required to installations What’s in it for you?
