As a Print & Mailroom Assistant, you will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other forms of correspondence within an organization. Your role is crucial in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring timely delivery.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving and Sorting: Receive incoming mail, packages, and deliveries. Sort and categorize items based on their destination or department.
- Printing Job: Run print jobs and deliver to end user. Use various binding techniques as required.
- Distribution and Delivery: Deliver mail and packages to the appropriate offices, departments, or individuals. Use mail & print room equipment (such as weighing scales, labeling machines, guillotines, etc) to handle items efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of office supplies, including boxes, envelopes, and labels. Stock and replenish copy paper, printer supplies, and other essentials.
- Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail. Assist with tracking outgoing shipments and maintaining logs.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and faxing. Pack and ship items as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous service to faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Serve as an informational resource regarding mailroom procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with mail methodology and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word).
- Ability to operate mailroom tracking software.
- Physical capability to lift and move packages (up to 25kg).
This is a part-time opportunity. Hours would be Thursdays & Fridays from 9am to 5pm.
