Role Overview
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will have considerable (minimum 3 years, preferably more) developing and supporting a range of Microsoft cloud products which fall within the modern workplace toolset (M365), EntraID and Azure cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Device and Endpoint Management (Windows/iOS): Managing device configuration and compliance policies including enrolment, device setup and application deployment (Intune).
- Application Management: Support the packaging and management of applications, application configuration, deployment of applications (Intune) and protection of application data within the firm’s corporate environment (M365 Purview).
- Security Policy Configuration: Implement security configuration baselining, maintain and support application security policies (Intune & M365), as well as using Conditional Access (Azure EntraID) to ensure the security of the firm’s applications and data.
- Infrastructure Support: Contribute to the support and maintenance of existing virtual infrastructure and play a key role in the development of cloud-based infrastructure technology to realise the firm’s ‘cloud first’ strategy.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex end-user and system incidents within cloud services such as Intune, Azure (EntraID) and the wider M365 suite of products.
- M365 Administration: Provide 3rd Line support for the wider suite of Microsoft 365 products as well as integrations and add-ins used within the firm.
- Technical expertise: Demonstrable hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure (EntraID) and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Problem Solving: Ability to demonstrate diligent and methodical diagnosis and problem solving approaches to resolve complex incidents, particularly within the suite of Microsoft cloud tools already mentioned.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical colleagues in both written and verbal form as well as communicating effectively at all levels of a large corporate organisation.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: An understanding of more traditional infrastructure components such as Active Directory, Group Policy, Networking (LAN, WAN, DNS) and System Centre Configuration Manager.
- Developing and supporting OTA Windows deployments using Autopilot.
- Previous experience of implementing an Azure Virtual Desktop and or Windows 365, ideally migrating from a Citrix environment.
- Migration of Group Policy Objects to Intune including testing and resolution of deprecated policies.
- Implementation of DLP and information asset classification using Microsoft Purview or other similar tools.
- Ability to write, test and deploy complex PowerShell scripts.
