You will bring a rigorous quality assurance framework to the data pipeline, applying an audit mindset to identify edge cases and anomalies within complex tax scenarios. Acting as a translator between technical teams and intricate tax legislation, you will advise on structuring tax data taxonomies to ensure our AI tools remain compliant, accurate, and genuinely value‑adding for professionals.

The team & how they connect

This centralised annotation team consists of AI annotators with deep backgrounds in financial accounting, currently expanding to include global tax experts. You will work alongside the wider data annotation team and engineering departments, serving as the human‑in‑the‑loop to develop AI solutions within the Xero product. The team is currently working on:

  • Developing AI solutions within the Xero product ecosystem.
  • Designing annotation guidelines and advising engineering teams on financial data taxonomies.
  • Providing expert knowledge on financial accounting and tax tools to support machine learning initiatives.
