Overview

As Strategy & Operations Analyst at Xero, you will shape the UK strategy by leading discrete growth and efficiency initiatives. You translate market insights into actionable plans, guiding regional operating plans and decision-making with senior leadership. You will build business cases, financial models, and automate analyses using AI tools to accelerate workflows. You work closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure cross-functional execution that supports scalable growth in a fast-paced, hybrid London-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic projects and market analysis to inform regional plans
  • Build robust business cases and financial models for go/no-go decisions
  • Support execution and tracking of the UK regional operating plan and management reporting (MBRs, OKRs)
  • Analyze market sizing, competitor activity, and customer trends to maintain a strong factbase
  • Automate factbases and reporting workflows using AI tools (Claude, Glean)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally and locally to align strategy with execution

Key requirements

  • Background in strategy or management consulting
  • Quantitative familiarity in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into recommendations
  • Experience using SQL, G-Suite, or MS Office for analysis
  • Proven use of generative AI tools to streamline analysis and workflows
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models, GTM and financial modeling
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and senior stakeholder communication skills
