An established and globally recognised digital entertainment organisation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its UK finance function. This role plays a key part in supporting complex operational accounting areas, working closely with both local and international stakeholders in a fast-moving, IP-driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys variety, ownership, and exposure to both operational finance and audit-facing responsibilities. This role would be perfect for someone coming out of practice looking for their first role in industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial tracking and valuation of goods and digital assets across multiple storage and distribution points, ensuring accuracy and compliance across physical, in-transit and system-based holdings.
- Partner with commercial, operational and external logistics teams to maintain robust stock controls and clear financial visibility.
- Review asset lifecycle trends, identifying slow-moving or impaired items and ensuring appropriate provisions are maintained.
- Manage complex transactional flows arising from digital platforms, including deferred revenue movements, tax calculations, and reconciliation between internal systems and third-party providers.
- Prepare and post journals relating to platform activity, fees, settlements and revenue timing differences.
- Deliver accurate financial outputs within tight reporting deadlines across month-end, quarter-end and year-end cycles.
- Produce detailed balance sheet support and reconciliations for submission to group finance.
- Calculate and process revenue share and licensing arrangements with external partners, including statement preparation and accounting entries.
- Maintain oversight of alternative payment and digital wallet balances, coordinating reporting with wider corporate and investment teams.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process by preparing templates, consolidating submissions and advising non-finance stakeholders.
- Produce regular spend analysis and performance reports, highlighting variances against budget and addressing follow-up queries.
- Ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks and support internal control testing.
- Act as a key finance contact during external audits, preparing schedules, responding to queries and supporting the Financial Controller.
- Contribute to ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA).
- Strong experience in audit, inventory management and SOX.
- Confident liaising with non-finance teams and external partners.
- High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
